Association “Home of the Two Hearts”

Home of the Two Hearts is a nonprofit association, formally established on October 16, 2024, inspired by Vassula Rydén’s vision of creating ecumenical places of prayer, study, and reconciliation among Christians.
During her lifetime, Vassula encouraged the founding of such centers devoted to Christian unity and prayer. Our initiative in Sweden continues that inspiration on a smaller, local scale.
The association operates independently and bears full legal and financial responsibility for its own activities.
The center is located on private land at Kastanjegården in southeastern Skåne, Sweden. It functions on this property as an independent nonprofit association renting its premises from the landowners. The association form reflects that it does not own the land or buildings, ensuring clear separation between the nonprofit’s operations and private ownership.
While spiritually indebted to Vassula Rydén’s writings and by the ecumenical ideals expressed in her correspondence and public talks, Home of the Two Hearts is not part of, nor officially affiliated with, any organization or foundation using the names True Life in God or TLIG.
It acts autonomously, with respect for all Christian traditions, in the same spirit of unity and prayer that Vassula promoted.
The association’s purpose is simply to provide an open and peaceful environment for reading, prayer, and dialogue among Christians.
Its future planned facilities include renting a library, a conference room, and a helping in the large garden project designed as a place of reflection welcoming people from all Christian traditions.
The association will independently rent and manage a 70 m² building that will be used for:
The association operates entirely on its own initiative and under its own responsibility, without any organizational, legal, or financial connection to the Foundation for True Life in God or any other entity.
A key project for next year (2026) is to establish some simple facilities and to continue the large garden — a vision close to Vassula’s heart, mentioned in her letters to her readers.
The association cooperates informally with Swedish ecumenical groups that share a commitment to Christian unity and prayer. A weekly prayer group with members from the Lutheran and Catholic tradition also meets at Kastanjegården and plays a vital role in the center’s life.
